WS6 Struts vs. V6 Struts
It's probably been asked 5,000 times but I did a search and did not find my answer. My car has a little over 220,000 miles on it and the shocks/struts are the originals!
Just recently I've noticed I drag on everything. I mean I can't even get in my drive way now w/out draging half of my exhaust on the pavement. I think it's time to refresh the shocks and struts lol. I've located some front struts out of a 2001 ws6 w/ 30,000 miles on them. I just need to know how much higher these will make my front end. Will it be just a little or do you think it would be worth the money to replace them w/ stock v6'ers? I can get the ws6's for 25 bucs and that's a big difference in price compared to new ones. I do know I am going w/ the v8 shocks out back, but what about springs, should i get some v8 springs also to go along w/ the rears? thanks

with that many miles i would upgrade both...the spring may have sagged a bit.
but the ws6 shocks should not change the height much by themselves. assuming no spring sag.
but honestly...if the ws6 shocks are the regular decarbon ones...at 30K miles they are pretty much worn out too. better than your current ones, but those shocks are not that good even new.
i would pony up the money and do it right the first time. after all the fronts require removing the whole spring/shock unit...not something you want to do again anytime soon.
