Re: Bracket racing

Congratulations! Bracket racing is where it's at for me. I love it! However, having a six-speed car makes it hard, but I can still run within .01 every run if the track prep is good. Where I race you can win street class if you can cut decently good lights, even if your car runs a little off. I was at test and tune last night and made 2 8.82 passes in a row, then it cooled off and I ran a 8.72, then a 8.58, and then a 8.64. Weather affects my car a fair amount, but 90% of my inconsistency was in my 60 foot times. I was trying different launch techniques and finally decided sidestepping the clutch at 4K was the way to go(awesome track prep for once). Maybe next year I'll make it to a few more races.

Re: Bracket racing

Something about bracket racing just doesnt do it for me, You go to the track to see what your car is capable of, just dont see the enjoyment when some guys hit the breaks, etc to hit their dial in

Re: Bracket racing

I personally have broken out many times...the entire reason I go to the track is to have a good time and to get a better ET/MPH.
