well i raced my friend finnally since i got my car working properly...

and well first we started out reving in the parking lot his headers make it unfair to my stock manafolds.

anywho im stock, hes got edelbrock headers & edelbrock exhaust & a shiftkit and a bulletproof A4

well my rims are probably considerably lighter then his so that gave me a little advantage (ugly 3 spoke aluminum 17")

anywho we had 2 trys at it... first light, i got a better launch then him and pulled till 30 then shut down and sat at the next light...

at this point some acura came up behind me and wanted to get into the racing too (he got left behind majorly ever time)

anywho again, we tried it, and again i gotta better launch i pulled on him till about 35 then boom, hes got an edge on me (i guess his shiftkit) he just starts putting feet on me. so we both shut off for the next light and i get behind him and we drive home...

i was suprised that he would pull on me with such slim mods

but the acura guy wouldnt leave us alone, probably about 140 hp lol...

 

Full exhaust is a pretty nice jump from stock, he'd probably pull ya a good bit..then again all LT1's run differant..I use to run(and beat) w/ full bolt on cars when i had just a fipk n muff.

 

are you sure you have 17s?

the three spokes were usually 16s..

 

Not to bust your b*lls but racing to 30-35 mph is hardly a race. That race literally wouldn't last more than a second. Either go to the track or out on a nice open highway and start from a roll at 50-60 mph. The track would definitely be the wiser choice but this way you can see how well you hang with your friend. Just my 2 cents.

 

it was from 1 stop light to another, it was about 200 feet... the second time we went to about 60 or so

and yea they are 17's 235/40yr17 if i remember correctly

heh i dont have time to goto a track they are only open around here during working hours and guess what im working

i wish we had a night time track near by

but it was very obvous i wasnt gonna win even w/ a better launch he cought up pretty quick so we both let off we raced later at 90mph speeds around a tight curve but it wasnt a very good race i just saw him comming in my mirror as i was walking on the acura who was so persistant to race
