I've added a K&N FIPK and an SLP 2OTL exhaust to my LS1...+30 rwhp?

5 runs...It was door-to door all the way through the top of 4th gear... He had a little inching going on while in gear, but it ended when he shifted. His car is still sliding around in first gear, while mine goes relatively straight.

This LS1 is hanging in there with just intake and exhaust...also ran side by side with a stock '03 Cobra...

Sounds like he has a really strong car!!! Yours is too, and once you start adding some bolt-ons, it's ova! My LT1 is now for sale and I have driven many an LS1 and am completely sold, if I can get a good enough deal for my college dollar then a 1998 LS1 is gonna be all mine They pull alot stronger than most think, and they are definitely underrated. That 305 hp is more like 305 RWhp. Well more like 280 rwhp but anyway...they are strong as ****. And yeah, in the LS1s I've driven, 03 Cobra owners are surprised as hell when they see a completely stock 2002 Z28 hanging neck 'n' neck with them

That's interesting. My car, automatic with homeported heads, HOTcam, bolt ons, PCMforless tuning etc. vs. 01 WS6 with intake, shifter, cutout and longtubes- 55 roll to ?? He put a fender, maybe a little more on me from the start, but then I came back and started inching on him at the end. That was auto(that sucks from a roll) vs. manual. I was still disappointed that my car could only do that. I would like to see what would happen if my car was a six speed though, or his was an auto.

Well thats true buyt dont unerestimate the LT1's just yet. There are some of us who can still put down some decent power and you know that LT1's can be modded for EVER and EVER........ Just wait till my rebuild, 383 LT1 = LS1 loss.......................J\k i still have love for the LS1 too. ITs all good.
