Monte Carlo SS vs My Lt1
Wow... ok let me catch my breath...
Its a beautiful day out and I was running low on hot pockets... So this can me only 1 of 1 things...... road trip to the local super walmart in the Z....
Well after completing my mission myself and the grocery getter are on our way back home, tops off and music blaring when I spot a car hauling this trailer.. Im thinking... I dont like following cars with trailers... So with adjusting the throttle ever so slightly and turning the steering wheel alittle to the left I proceed to pass this car hauling a trailer... ..... but wait!! Im no longer pulling on him
I look to my right and see it is a 89ish Monte Carlo SS... Immediately my brain determines that this car sports a 305 with around 150wrhp weighing in at around 4000 lbs..... Obviously this machine has massive amounts of torque to pull around a trailer.
Damn it!....
They caught me off guard...
I was humilated...
and now scared.....
Gathering all the strength left in my soul... and cranking "Eye of the Tiger" up on the system i ventured on to meet the challenge.
dah... dah-dah-dah... dah-dah-dah.... dah-dah-daaaaaaaaaah I so nevously hummed to the beat....
I eye over to my left... notice him and his friend laughing... U just know they are thinking we just killed that slow LT1...
I knew right then.. right there.... in that frozen moment in time that this was it... I would not get another shot at this.....
My left foot goes into action as the clutch is engaged, my right hand levers the shifter to activate the 2nd gear of the T-56, and in perfect synchronization the left foot side steps as the right foot plants itself to the pedal with EXTREME prejudice.
The nitto drag radials fight to keep the 390 ft lbs of torque planted as my NASA modified OBDI signals to Houston "We are Go for Launch".
Were the only responses of my aggressors as the right drag radial was supplied 170 ft lbs of torque and the left was supplied the additional 170...
2 seconds after the transfer of power the Monte Carlo was left along with a innocent acura CL infront of him...
I feel so bad for killing an innocent but in the name of that is all good and holy it must have been done...
Before you start to flame me I do realize that it would have been a different story if the Acura wasnt blocking the Monte Carlo SS... but please understand it was my only chance.
