I dont think those cars make any power until like 6k. If your racing from a dig I think your ok. I'm sure there will be more to chime in that know more about these girlie cars than I do.

You will not lose. I dont have LT's or gears, and I am 2 for 2 against s2000's from both a dead dig and a roll. I expected the s2k to give me a challenge from a roll, but from a 3rd gear punch, it got ugly for him fast (and this is with my t-tops off, while he had his tops up -> more aero hehehe)

The kid talks big **** to everyone, He knows nothing about cars, he bought his girly S2K wiith the pu$$y mods already on it...All he knows is his car is "light as hell"....and my car is "not"...He's ignorant, I offered to put him in his place for $100, he accepted, then he backed out LAST minute...

Re: My Formula VS an S2000
depending on the layout of the roadcourse, he might beat the s2000 there too.
at road america, the camaro ss was running faster lap times than an s2000 with the same driver (steve millen, of IMSA fame) according to a test by motortrend.
Camaro SS (NOT a 1LE car): 2 min, 16.46 seconds
BMW M Roadster: 2 min, 17.28 seconds
Porsche Boxster S: 2 min, 17.46 seconds
Honda S2000: 2 min, 17.66 seconds
Acura NSX 2 min, 14.15 seconds
Leaving the magazine racing realm for a second, at my last outing at Shannonville motorsport park, i posted faster lap times than guys with rx8's and s2000's b/c even though i was slower in the tight sections, i more than made up for it with higher exit speeds coming on to the 2 straights (pro-track configuration). http://www.shannonville.com/
Of course, you could chalk this up to poor drivers in the other cars, but it also goes to show that a z28 vs an s2000 does not automatically mean a loss for the fbody. Even though the majority of camaro drivers drag race only, some of us actually road race our cars.
