Alarm disables electrical system?

Here's the deal: I have a 2002 Camaro V-6 Convertible with 105K miles on her. It has pretty much been a perfect car until yesterday afternoon. I went to start it up and I get nothing. No click of the starter, nothing. Obviously the first thing you would expect is the battery, right? I replaced the battery in the car about 3 weeks ago, it is brand-freaking-new. Also I tried jumping it and still I get nothing. None of the gauges (battery, oil pressure, fuel level, etc.) move at all when I turn the key. The only signs of life that the car shows is that when the key is in the ignition and I have the driver's door open the little red alarm light on the dash blinks rapidly. I'm not against getting it towed to a mechanic, but there is one problem. Currently the top and windows are down and I have no way of getting them back up. If they don't get it indoors I'm afraid that it will rain and the interior will be ruined.

I've searched through the forums and found people talking about VATS killing the car, but it seems like those people have electrical function, where I have none. Could it still be the VATS? Would a bad starter cause the electrical system to fail?

Has anyone else had the same problem with their car? I'm so frustrated right now its not even funny.

If your gauges don't even light up its not VATS, vats just keeps the car starting or turning over (depending on the car). If your gauges don't light up your battery is dead again already or something is unhooked- go get it charged at autozone or wherever and check all of your connections. Then work on finding out why its dying so quickly

Also VATS makes the security light come on in the dash.
