any1 buy 17degree incline ramps from wal-mart...w/in

Hey guys...

Wal-mart has a pair of composite plastic 17degree incline ramps with a pic of a C5 vette on top of them. I was wondering if anyone have used these on their camaro or firebird. My dad has a set of metal ones that would rip the front of my bumper off if I even attemped to drive up on them. Looking for something I can use to change my own oil and stuff. Hanging the nose of my car over the curb is getting old.

any input..

Thanks

Robert O.

I have metal ramps and I just sit some cement blocks right in front of them to lift my car up the extra inch it needs. The degree doesnt really matter much, it mainly depends how tall they are. Just measure how far it is from the ground to the area right in front of your tire.

Check to see if you can just put blocks in front of the metal ramps to make up the clearance.

advance auto parts has some extenders that you can buy that just lay at the bottom of the ramps for low clearance vechicles. they cost about $15 i think.

Yes, I have used and love these ramps. Work great for my 94 camaro. We have used them on my dads 01' C5 vette, and it cuts it real close but no scrapin

thanks pentavolvo...

Glad to hear someone has used these. I've seen them for a while and I was wondering if they were legit or not. I'm sick of those guys getting in my car when they do an oil change at wal-mart. Now I'll be able to do my own oil.

Thanks again,

Robert O.

I like my rhino ramps. Durable and low enough to get on. Paid $17 at Kragen.

I would never attempt to drive my car up a set of ramps. I have seen to many slips and cars getting front ends mashed by the ramps and into toolboxes etc. I have a pair and throw a good floor jack under the nose. Lift her hi then slide the ramps under the wheels. Be safe.

BAH...RiceBoys...I mean PepBoys.

I actually bought those yellow ramps at Wal-Mart and they were too high so I just got the rhino ramps. I've never had a problem going over...I always have someone guiding up front just in case though.

Just take it slow and don't gun it...should be OK.
