the only kit for 95-97 3.8s is the slp, its over 250$
ive got one used i could get rid of.

Wrong. The K&N will also work. For his year, he just needs the elbow to make it work.

If you want the SLP one, wait. They usually go on sale on their website every couple months.

EDIT: In fact, it is on sale right now. $199.

so yea, change the elbow and get the K&N, or...
you can get mine, it looks nice and has 2 filters, it will make you car 2 fast and to furious

couldn't he just buy an LT1 rubber elbow off someone instead of buying one from like SLP because they are like 70 bucks in those sites and if anyone has a used lt1 elbow they could sell it cheaper to him.
i am not very sure but I think the LT1 elbow should fit the v6 and the intake.
anyone know for sure?

Lingenfelter Performance also makes a CAI for the 96 v6, for about $180.
