couple of questions??

couple of questions??

okay i was reading through my newspaper this morning and i found some camaro stuff for sale. it said: torque converter, vilgilante something, and a spool, 400 obo. what is each one of these? the spool i thought was part of a turbo any info on these things would be greatly appreciated and are any worth the buy. thanks

well you need to find out what transmission that the torque converter , the something after vigilante is the type of converter, spool was jsut a typo for what it stalls at. to determine if its good for your car , we need to know your mods, (specificaly cam) and what the stall is on the TC

im not sure if vig even makes TC's for V6's but i havnt looked into them too much , i know a lot of guys that have Vig TC's in their cars, they are excelent converters

sorry. my mods are a slp ram air, whisper lid, borla exhaust. the rest of the motor is stock. just i saw it was like i remember how people talk about these things. thanks for the quick reply. so basically none of this items are useful to me unless he used it on a v6? thanks!

torque converter, vilgilante something, and a spool, 400 obo are all refering to the same thing. but if it was used on a V8 then it will do you no good. and even if it was on a V6 then i would need to know more about the "something" Vig makes many different stalling points for their converters, and on that much of a stock motor you would not want too high of a stall
