Get to take camaro over seas!
I Get to take my car to Misawa AFB Japan.
I thought I couldn't at first.
People I have talked to over there ask me why, and tell me I should buy some thing when I get over there.
Has any one ever tryed leaving 3 camaros at there parents house? Because 2 is pushing it.
Also because I can.
I'm takeing the 91 RS (it's in my sig) because gas isn't cheap and it's the only one still legial out of the 3, I haven't hade a chance to illegial-ise it yet, luckly I didn't.
Bad things are they drive on the wrong side of the road, it will take 50 to 70 days to ship it there along with the rest of my stuff, if I blow that 3.1 over there I'm screwed.
I'm still packing that set of heads and exhaust manifolds and a turbo charger if I can find one in the car before I leave.
I herd there hobby shop has every thing.
I just want it to play with(mod)and putt around base and the town with.
When I go home I'll practice driving on the wrong side of the road late at night , if I tryed that around the base here I would last 2 minutes tops and I would be pulled over.
I could all ways use more turbo charging tips for V6's.
I would like to stick on a nice muffler be for I go there too, any ideas?

If you care about that car at all then I'd advise against taking it.I took my '95 overseas to the Azores and it got totally thrashed. The roads overseas are made for a lot smaller vehicles and there will be some roads that you just can't fit down. Also people drive like MANIACS overseas and there are always cars "rubbing" each other. So if the car is an old beater then feel safe taking it but if you were planning on restoring it or making it look new then you might want to reconsider.Storage for a car is only like $300 a year if you can't leave it at your parents house.Good luck with whatever you decide. If you do take it then be prepared for a TON of rust.Even the rain is salty on an island like Japan.Good luck.

Agreed on that. I was over in Taiwan once and the ONLY way to get around that place is by a motorcycle. Depending on what part of the city you go to is how people are going to treat their own cars. And I saw many hit and run accidents.......getting around insurance and etc will be a pain......I know I would love to take my camaro over there and have some fun with it....but its just not worth the risk
