I have a few questions so im gonna just make one post!
Well First off let me say so far from checking posts you guys know what your doing and I like that! and well I like your attitudes also!
I currently Drive a 1996 Base Camaro lol its a 3.8 M5. Currently It has a K&N CAI and a Flowmaster Exhaust (not true dual) but yea.. its got a SPEC Stage II Clutch. and I use Mobil 1 full syn..
Here are my questions. The car runs great! but it has a SES light that comes and goes. well the codes that are being thrown are P1361 and something else but they have both been on for a long time now.. they come and go. Its been checked out by lots of people but no one can find anything with it! anyway Someone told me it could be a loose ground wire and its on the PCM and its causing these codes. which that is what his book read. could this be true and if so how in the world will I find a ground wire for that!!
alright next question is. with my new clutch sometimes not everytime when I go to start up my car and put it in reverse it gives a clink and grind sound like!?!?! anyway the clutch is stiff and hits great!
next question is everynow and then when your driving it the RPMS will shoot up to about 2500k and stay steady sounds like im giving it gas! and it sounds wierd!
next thing is the Temp guage goes up sometimes like up to about the top!! and then falls down... and will stay a lil steady and then go back up again? whats up with that what color coolant am I susposed to be using?! the green or oragne?
Thanks fella's I trust your judgment and everything but if your gonna flame just go ahead and say so w/o doing it cuz Ive heard it all and dont want to hear no more.

Shoots way up and then way down? Check your coolant level. Mine was low somehow and was doing the same thing. And I didn't see any leaks on the ground or anything.. weird, eh?

The deal with Reverse is that it has no synchro. So before shifting into reverse you should put the trans in a forward gear, then back it into reverse. Usually I'll throw it up into 5th then right back to reverse and it's fine.

1) OBD II Code P1361 is No Ignition Coil Activation Fault Coil 1.
2) Already answered.
3) Could be a bunch of problems.
4) Your temps shouldn't be getting that high. They should be at the 1/4 mark at operating temps and get no higher than the 1/2 mark even when sitting in traffic. If the temps are getting into the red, you have problems. It sounds like you have air in your system. Summer is coming so it would be worthwhile to flush your system anyways with ORANGE coolant.
Hmmm..."go ahead and say so w/o doing it". That would be quite a trick my friend. Good luck with your car.

the resivoir for the coolant is sorta clear...or pop the top and look at it...If you drain the whole system you should be able to add whatever flavor you like...at least that is waht I have been told...as far as the temp gauge I would "burp" the system take the cap off (when it's cool) and let the car run up to normal operating temps...you should do this after you flush the system anyways...you should see air belch out...or you temp sender could be bad...upon refelction their might be a valve to bleed the system...I'm not fully up to snuff on my v6s...but there it is in a nutshell...
