Which is lighter?

97 3.8 or a 98 3.8.... The entire car.

It would depend all on what options the cars have
if they were both optioned the same,they would weight within a few pounds of each other
but if one was a 5 speed witn no power options, and the other was auto with all power options, the 5 speed would be alot lighter
convertibles are also alot heaver

1997 Camaro Coupe: 3375 lbs
1998 Camaro Coupe: 3333 lbs

I found similar weights on msnautos. Looks like the 97 is slightly heavier.

The 98+ F-bodies used more composite body panels and less sheetmetal. Optioned the same, they will be a bit lighter than 93-97 F-bodies.
