loss of power in low rpms??

hey, i've got a problem during acceleration and in lower rpms. This doesn't happen all the time but when i begin to accelerate off the line, my car will suddenly just lose power, until i get going a little bit faster. It also does this when i'm driving at normal speeds and i give it a little gas it acclerates a little rough and sluggish. If anyone knows what this could be, i would really like to know cuz its starting to **** me off. Someone suggested that it could be my fuel filter so i changed that, my plugs and wires were just recently done. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Ah... fuel injectors could be partially clogged? I have had this happen on my 96. Cleaner gas additive wasn't enough to clean them so I took it to a dealership and had them clean them. They cleaned the throttle body too and it helped my car a lot.

Might not be what your problem is but it could give you more ideas.

Could be injectors, generally dirty fuel system. I had my full system cleaned out, and cleaned out the throtle body, it wasnt untill i changed the fuel filter that the problem was cleared up. Sometimes so blockage in the fuel filter can cause low RPM stumble.

So it sounds like a problem with something in the fuel system? I did change the filter but still have the same problem. How much does it cost roughly to get the injectors cleaned??

I think i paid 60.00 for my car to get the system cleaned. They ran it on the cleaner bottle for about 45 minutes.

I took my car in to get it checked out on the computer and it was a misfire in the 5th cylinder. Figure its a faulty wire or cracked spark plug or somethin.
