My Review: 2.75in I-pipe on 3.4L V6

First of all, it is LOUD. Sound exactly like a V8 up to 4K RPMs. It rattles the house windows @ idle sitting out in the driveway. Power increase throughout the entire RPM band. No loss in torque. Still spins the 245mm tire easy. 2nd and 3rd gears are much improved. Cruising @ 70 now requires only for you to rest your foot on the pedal; you hardly have to press it at all. Overall, it was a good boost. Sounds great! I got 3 in tailpipes w/o tips. No popping at all

not trying to flame, your car might be a freak of nature, but have you ever heard a V8?

Yes. And I don't mean neutral revs. I mean when you have it to the floor

do you have a high flow cat yet? when i added my 2.75'' piping and catco cat, it sounded incredible. i wouldn't exactly say it sounds like a v8, but it does sound mean for a v6. i've had many people tell me it sounds really good for a 6.

The car runs better every time I drive it. It acually chirped the tires on a part-throttle(3/4) 1-2 shift! First time it's ever done that. It's pulling really hard now. When it shifted I acually hit my head on the head rest( 'cause I had my back pressed up against the seat but my head was slightly forward). It passed some guy on the highway and I went 45-65 in 3 seconds; I was around him in no time! This is great!!

Yeah its nice, and does sound great...

I have a stock 96 z28 setup with stock muffler, muffler is a littlerestrictive but sounds loud, but tame...

As for getting a 2.75in. I-pipe check the cloalc boards and see if anyone has one they are stock on z28s, I got my entire catback for free and only cost me $120 to get a CAT, cutout, and catback installed with a custom 2.5 in. S pipe
