I say keep the v6. save your $$$ for a vette, then you'll have 2 nice cars in about 2 years. Just put an exhaust and a few minor mods on the 6 and it's ready to go, if that doesn't satisfy you then you need to grow up.

that's what i'm doing,

Don't think your going to get more than $9500 for a 98 v6 so you might as well keep it.

AutoTrader.com gets an unbelievable amount of hits, so alot of people can check out your car. I put my old V6 on there and the person i sold it to found out about the car through the site. You have a nice car, you shouldn't have too many problems selling it. Be sure to make it clear that the price is very negotiable though.

no vettes before age 25!!
and im aware the car is worth around $9-$10K, however the car carries a very nice warranty that i paid $3200 for when i bought it exactly 1 year ago, it covers absolutly every major part in the car including motor, tranny, rear end, suspension, mounts electronics even exhaust you name it up to 100K or 3 years, i figure thats worth about 1 or 2 grand...do you guys think im far off??

need to grow up? your taking this to seriously man

I don't imagine there is much difference in pricing between the Bay Area and New York. A year ago I sold my 98 V6 A4, t-tops, leather, 35k miles for $12k. The warranty makes it a good offer but I wouldn't expect to get $2k for it on a car worth $10k. My friend has been going through 5 or 6 cars the past few years and has been very succesful by just putting a for sale sign in his car window. Lately he started putting a print out off of like a kelly blue book website showing all the options it has.

Haven't you ever heard that vette insurance is the same or less than a f-bod, mainly because of the statsics that show more percentage of f-bods get totaled than the percentage of vettes,

the vette is a much better car, 80 hp more from the start, ligter weight, better frame not tometion it's built muc better and the looks.., only thing that i bad about it is the 2 seats but you'll have your v6 if you need that.

and havent you hurd that a Vette costs alot of money and maybe this guy needs the equidity from his V6 to buy a new car?

sure a vette has some perks above the F body but that has been discussed 100X times, it all comes down to money and what you can afford.
