Need help with possible transmission problems.
I'm a young kid that just bough a camaro and is simply trying to get it fixed so don't kill me for being ignorant of certain things.
I have a 1998 V6 3.8 that I recently bought (so I don't know when it started having problems) and had the intake gaskets changed on it. Whenever I drive over bumbs there is a rattling sound from the transmission area under the car that sounds as if something is loose, but nothing seems to be loose under the car. If I punch the gas too hard too fast it will get either jerk when shifting gears or get stuck at 2000 Rpms (this makes the rattling sound WORSE and more consistent). It still picks up speed slowly if stuck at 2000 rpms so I'm not exactly sure what the issue is. Any help would be appreiciated.
Also the car likes to rev the engine and cut the engine off when at idle if I dont rev the engine some myself. I hear this could be an idle airflow valve...?

It’s hard to diagnose a noise when you can’t hear it, but what about your catalytic converter? If the intake was leaking and the engine was burning oil or anti-freeze, that can trash a converter. Once it comes apart on the inside, you will hear a rattle. When it gets really bad, the exhaust gets plugged and the engine can’t exhale spend exhaust, so it can’t inhale clean air. Often this will keep the engine at low RPM’s and low power.
