Oil Pressure Sending Unit???

Oil Pressure Sending Unit???
Ok, so I took my car to the track for the first time tonight. After a couple of runs, I drive the hour and a half to get home. Two miles from home, my check engine light comes on. I look down to see that my oil pressure is now zero, as the car starts to die.
I get into a parking lot as it dies. I check the oil, which is full. I have no apparent leaks under the car. I did some looking around on here and other sites and found that when the sending unit goes out, alot of people show a reading of max. oil pressure.
So, if it is not that, then what is it? Any suggestions would be great. I have to try and pull it home tomorrow and get it fixed pretty quick.
Thanks guys in advance.

The likelihood of you loosing oil pressure from an oil related mechanical failure at the exact moment the engine dies is not probable.
Fix the cause of the engine dieing and you will more than likely solve your oil pressure problem.

There was no miss, but I have another theory.
Is it possible that the engine just ran too long while being too hot??
I did not let the engine cool before driving home. I did notice that I was running at 210 degrees or so for a while even for the hour on the interstate. Could it just have been overheated? I got in it this morning and started it right up and drove around. The oil pressure was right where it was supposed to be and no other problems were noticed. So, I guess it is ok for now, and in the future I just need to let it cool down after racing it.

210 was not too hot and you shouldn't have to let it cool down after being at the track, especially after just two passes. You indicated you had driven within two miles of your home so you had already been driving the car for more than an hour. What you did at the track should not have any effect on what went on when it stalled. You obviously have something else going on that shut the engine down.

ok, thanks for your help. Everything seems to be going just fine now. I dont know what the deal was. I dont know why it shut down. I have had no problem with it since I got it, and everyting seems fine now.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
