oil psi dropped to 0
i have a 96 3.8 camaro. took it to the shop cuz the oil pressure was dropping. the car itles at 30psi then as the car gets warm it would drop to 10psi. but the car ran normal! at first i thought it was the oil pump but it wasnt so they thought there might be a clog so they took it apart and found out the crankshaft bearing was bad so they replaced it and put the car back together. we started the car and it itles at 30psi then as the car gets warm it would drop to 10psi (samething that was happening when i took it in) so i take it home to look everywhere for leaks and on the way home the rockers start clicking. what do yall think?

Re: oil psi dropped to 0
My car did the exact same thing. I bought it with a bad oil pressure sender and the guy gave me a new one (GM AC Delco) I installed it and got the same thing, idles at 30 psi, warms up and drops to 10. At first I was nervous about it but after over 100,000 miles my serpintine belt broke and destroyed the oil pressure sender. I bought a new one from auto zone and installed it. Now the oil pressure shows 60 psi and warms up goes to 30-45 psi. At highway RPMs it is about 75psi.
I think GM just put out a bad batch. Try swaping it out with a non AC delco one. If you really want to be sure, see if you can get a pressure gauge you can adapt to thread in the oil pressure sender port.

Nope, everything is fine since I replace the sender. I bought the car with 110,000 miles, I replced the sender again at approx 250,000 miles and now have 281,700 miles. If it were the cam bearing it wouldn't have lasted 170,000 miles on a bad bearing. Definatly the sender!
