I think its pretty sad and childish people get on here and knock people for there cars who cares if its a v6,LT1,or Ls1 its a camaro and thats all that matters we should be sticking together not putting them down a true camaro fan loves them all.

yeah thats the truth... and what stange people like myself that just enjoy working on cars and rebuilding engines: I couldn't care if it's a LS1 a V6 or even a little two stoke waverunner enginge, I just personally enjoy working on engine and learning more about them...
I drive and like the firebird cause my parents had one when I was a kid and I always wanted to ride in the firebird in stead of the other little "family car".. so when I grew up a bought a firebird then when it got old I bought another one and on and on goes the story...

Exactly. It's not about the size of the engine; it's all about the love for the car. Everyone has their reasons for which ever they own and drive.

I bought my LT1 because I've been in love with the sound of the exhaust note since the first time I heard one. I also welcome the extra challenge of it being a royal pita to work on anything under the hood. I'm loving every minute of it even if it's not as fast as an LS1, and a lot of LS1 owners would say I'm crazy for preferring it to an LS1.
Also, for what it's worth; my first car was a '91 firebird w/ 3.1 motor and I had a blast with that car also. I always regretted letting my parents talk me into selling it.
