I recently realised that the speedomiter in my car starts to be off at around 35 and keeps growing farther and farther off the faster i go. I think the reason is that the guy who i bought it from replaced the tranmsission and engine for some reason, and im guessin the speedo was never recalibrated for the trans. My dad thinks that i need to replace the little gear that runs the info from the tranny to the speedo. If i were to do this, then i would have to find out what tranny the guy put in. He has moved away so i cant ask him, so where can i check on the tranny itself to see what it is. Or are there any other things that could be throwing off the speedo? ( i dont have bigger tires either).
