Throttle problem?

Hello everyone. I have been around for awhile, mainly lurking and reading. Anyways, I've got a 99 Camaro V6 M5 with the basic mods (NGK plugs, Taylor Spiro Pro wires, Whisper lid, Fast Toys Ram Air, K&N filter, MAF+ or whatever it's called not plugged in though, Hurst short throw shifter w/Lou's short stick, Spec stage 3 clutch-long story there; bought the clutch because I was going to turbo the car, then got arrested for street racing and spent all my turbo money on lawyers and fines, off road pipe, SLP Loudmouth exhaust with bullet muffler welded in place of resonator, SS wheels, black berger panel, Eibach Pro-Kit springs, auto headlight cut-off switch) and a new problem has reared it's ugly head. This morning, on the way to work, I noticed that I could let off the gas and the RPM's would actually go up. I could not be touching the gas, and for a few seconds the car would actually rev the engine and hold those RPMS for about half a block and SLOWLY start idling down. This is all without touching the clutch. If I push the clutch in, the RPMs shoot up and then hold there, just like before, except I slow down because the clutch is not engaged. Is this a problem with the fly-by-wire electronics? The car has 104,000 miles on it. I'm thinking it's probably a problem with the electronic throttle sensor, but I don't know if there is anything else that could be wrong with it? Anyone else have this problem?

your probably right that it is some electronic sensor out of spec.. I'd think that one is going to be kind of hard to diagnose without just starting swapping sensors, I'd probably try swapping one or two that are logical and only if they are fairly cheap (throttle position, idle etc.,).. but to be correct I think there is a way that you can hook it up to the computer and the computer will test to see that every sensor is in spec... probably best to have that done at a shop and I'd expect the diagnostics is $50 or something like that if you can find somebody with the proper tools etc.,...
