Toss Up....
Alright I from what I understand the firebird and the camaro are very similar in there design and engine/tranny setup. I have a 95 3.4 camaro currently and I am wanting to upgrade to another firebird or camaro with the 3.8. I am going with the 3.8 because of expenses and they are proven to be very reliable for a college student like me. So I wanted to know what are the differences between the 3.8 camaro and 3.8 firebird?
Thanks

Basically the same, but some people really prefer the interior on the Firebird. It's all up to which one you think looks better. The most important thing is to make sure you get one with the Y87 package.
(If you don't know what a Y87 is, do a search - it's basically the Z28 suspension and brakes on a V6.)

Y87
the pontiac's have nicer seats and a little better quality interior and they come standard with power options and cruise control and CD player and more speakers. So your garenteed that with a firebird.
that's about the only difference other than the obvious. Get cloth seats, the leather seats suck in these cars, it feels like cheap plastic, if you want leather then get some nice custom aftermarket covers later on.
You will not be dissapointed with either, they have great looks and even the v6 engine has more torque than any *** crap. I would get the firebird just because you'll get a little nicer car for the same price.
The Y87 also comes with limited slip rear with faster gears, dual exhaust muffler, and faster steering gears for a stiffer/faster steering, it was only a $250 option but it is rare to find it.
