update to my previous problem, car wont start

Well.........last night i was on a mission. I decided to eliminate all possible problems so I got under the dash and I am in the process of finishing up taking out the alarm i put in. It was all plug and play stuff so no wires were cut and spliced. I can then eliminate the possibility of the alarm causing any problems, plus its done nothing but go off at the wrong times.

NOW...when i was under my dash, i found some wires that were electrical taped up. One large yellow wire, one large red wire, and this got me.........a wire red on one end, and pink on the other with a large 3" long maybe resistor looking deal on it. It looked more like a mini capacitor. It looks factory in a way but in a way it doesn't look factory at all. I also found a white/black wire going into a harness but there's no wires that are going to plugging into that harness. It is just flopping around.

I am going to do this as well as re-ground all the interior spots near the kicks. Sand them down a little and re-connect. When I did try to start the car the car started. I am sort of after the stupid security light. I think that has something to do with my problems.

If you guys have any idea on what else to check or look for let me know. I have everything apart. The one thing I'd like to know is where is the VATS connector that you are suspose to disable? I can't find anything that looks like a place to plug a resistor into or to check it. That is the one thing I am stumped on.

Let me know,
Chris
