I've got a B&M in my 99 Camaro and love it. I've heard that the Hurst for the V6's isn't that great unless you also buy Lou's Short Stick. I haven't heard much about the Pro 5.0, but everyone else I know with the B&M agrees that it's a great shifter for the money.

As far as the whisper lid goes, you won't see 11 hp, but I think it's worth it. You can definately feel a difference and it's nice getting rid of all that air silencer crap in there.

I have the hust, its a good shifter but the stick is to long, so i cut the bottom mounting hole off and drilled a new hole in it

I've heard many good things about the pro 5.0. A friend of mine has a B&M in her 3.8 maro, and It feels better than mine. I've got a hurst, really firm shifts, but the stick is too long like mentioned above. Huge improvement over stock though.

Hey wolfie, what did you use to cut the bottom off the hurst stick? I would like to do this also...

I'm about to get a B&M. From what I've heard B&M and Pro 5.0 is about the same with only one major difference, and that's the height of the stick. The Pro 5.0 is supposedly shorter in height as opposed to the B&M, which is about the stock height.

Hey Rob94, how much shorter did ur Pro 5.0 get, compared to stock?? What about the boot - did it get more "scrunched" up around the base??
