Cool what will I beat in a race?

Hi I have a 2000 3800 V6 and I was wondering what cars I can beat on the road. Wondering if I can beat a stock V6 Mustang or how would I stand with a GT. Or you can just list a few cars I can easily beat.

Toddler on a Big Wheel should be an easy mark...maybe race for pinks?

J/K, but we would need some more info on your vehicle/engine for even an educated guess

PS I would think most any Mustang GT would totally hose you, but the V6 Camaros are not slow for what they are.

while the 3.8s are "decent" for what they are, you can count out any v8 besides maybe a third gen RS (305 TBI). v6 mustang, depending on drivers and condition of the cars/mods it would be close. if you have a few boltons though the 3.8s can move out of their own way, at least compared to the earlier 3.4s.lol

Re: what will I beat in a race?

well, if you owned one of the V8's, you could beat a Porche. the race would go something like this.

The Porche would pull out ahead of you one full car lenght at the start of the race, up to 45-50 miles per hour. At 45-50 miles an hour your Camaro, ( or Firebird ), would walk right past him and the race is Over. You'd be looking at him from your rear view mirrors. ( how's That for cool? ). *S*

You would also corner better because you have wider tires.

now, that's with a V8. I'm not sure about the V6's.

Re: what will I beat in a race?

I've beat 99 civic si, 97 prelude, 00 accord v6, and a 06 g6 gt.
only had an intake and exhaust at the time.

you'd beat most v6 mustangs. their 3.8 v6 was terrible until 99. the new 4.0 v6 mustang would be close though. but a mustang gt would smoke you, unless it was like a 90's 5.0 fox body.
