Where do these sensors go and what and where is this part
I have 3 pictures 2 of sensors and 1 of a part that i havtn found a spot to bolt onto any ideas where it bolts on to and what it is used for?
also i need to know where the o2 sensor plugs into i cant seem to find the right Spot i feel around but no socket
Help is greatly accepted
I recently changed head gaskets and i tried to start it and it would turn over but not catch fire? idk help please some bolts are finger tight not socket tight i am gonna go out today and see if i can tighten up the bolts mostly are on the coil pack and some around the intake but few 97% done?

Re: Where do these sensors go and what and where is this part
the crankshaft sensor is behind the crankshaft pulley on the right hand side of it. it's kind of hard to get the connector on there with the pulley in place and the power steering pump on but you can use a screw driver to do it carefully.
the camshaft sensor is on the left hand side of the timing cover. it's got one bolt in it and the hole in the timing cover is a small circle, the size of the magnet on the back of the sensor.
the last connector goes to the sensor that goes on the top part of the upper intake manifold. forgot what the heck the sensor is called but its on the passenger side... idk if that helps you at all.

thats for the 3.8 v6 3800 series 2 right?
Because if that is the cam sensor probaly isnt on since i will have to get under the car to hook it up right?
Is the crankshaft sensor the sesnor right beside the oil pressure sensor? because i cant seem to find the crank shaft sensor

by any chance you know what connections or wiring in the back of the engine could cause no power to the 3 coil packs
I tightened up 1 bolt on the back of the driver side head that had a metal wiring ring around it

im going to take a picture of each for you when i get back to the house. i'll pull in the garage so pm me your email cuz i can never post to this site. as for the power issue. Check all grounds and connections. I actually had to add a new one from the engine lift point on the drivers side to one of the strut bolts. if you hear the starter whirr but not start the car you have a ground issue. and I would try adding a ground (engine to chassis) as I described above. also make sure your coil packs are in the right order and also the wires. it was these couple of lil things i overlooked that had me stumped for a few days before i checked it out better. make sure you got the ground that connects the battery (i think) to the side of the engine block behind the air compressor. very important. i blew up my first starter forgetting that. lemme know how it goes
