Will this make a ricey sound??

It will sound decent at an idle, but you get up there in the rpm range and its gonna sound like a chainsaw on crack. If all you want is power it might be alright, but if you want a good tone, this wont acheive that for you. The Loud Mouth was designed and tuned by SLP to sound and perform the best on a 8 cyl car that is going to remain mostly stock. A lot of guys find this out the hard way with 8 cyl cars, as they go crazy with mods and still run the LM.

Get a complete cat-back system desiged for your engine, it's the only way you will a good sound though the power range,
I Have the Flowmaster american thuder and i'm very satisfied with it, it cost $280 for the kit, and $130 to install, If you get a catback system, do some intake mods like a lid and filter because it dosn't do much good get a good exhaust system if the air cn't get though the filter at the same rate.
but my point is, it is worth it to spend the extra $200 at first than spend $200 on a WS6 takeoff and still not have a much better system,
ps, before i started modding i was getting 23 mpg, now i'm getting muc better perfomace and 26 mpg so it will pay for it self after 50,000 miles.

I agree with MxStar, you'll need to get headers to get that deep throaty, rumble deep sound. I have a magnaflow, but do you guys think I should swith to a Loudmouth?

Re: Will this make a ricey sound??
My buddy put pacesetter headers and a Loudmouth catback on his 3.8 and all it turned into was a very loud mean sound. which ended up burning 2 pistons and warping 3 valves. not worth it. use the headers but use a flowmaster catback or hooker something that will hold good back pressure.

your friend is an idiot, how do to warp 3 valves and burn 2 pistons with a damn exhaust kit? rofl.

Thats what I was thinking, exhaust only deals with giving your car better airflow which adds extra horsepower. I've recently learned more about cars and I know that your friend is wrong man.

Re: Will this make a ricey sound??
I traded with my friend for my exhaust for his Loudmouth which he has a 2000 SS Camaro. The muffler shop wasn't able to make him a 3" pipe so he kept his and I kept my 2.5". But they weren't able to install the resonator.
My friend said it sounds like a freak'n V8 and I had no idea it was going to be that loud. If I install a resonator but of course I would need to get 3" pipes. Would it quiet down a bit?
