Houston, we have a problem. I know you guys wouldn't expect anything less from me.

My car responded WELL to the FLPs and ORPs but I was still having issues just off idle and past 5,200 RPM. It is quite apparent that the cam is done at about that RPM and the stock ignition system isn't holding up to the boost. I installed an MSD 6AL last night to combat the rich condition hoping this would solve the rest of my issues. It helped quite a bit........BUT.........now the wires are glowing at the boots and under the hood looks like a fireworks show from the #7 plug wire. Now I have to go and replace the plug wires which, by the way, are practically brand new. By the time I get this car running, I will have rebuilt it from the ground up! I'm pretty burned out from all the work I've done on it this week so I may not make it on Monday. If I can gather some energy to do the wires this weekend, I'll be there, though. Wish me luck.

Not like you should really need it Ken. Your car probably has the most potential of all our cars to whoop some major a$$ w/o the funny stuff.

No, but I realize I really need one now, my stocker is about through. I would have had one already but last time I went up to get my cam installed the convertor came in the day after I left. I'll have one in by September.

I'd say your car is pretty stout Ben...I'm sure all the h/c guys on here are pretty close to each other as far as power. Man...you get a converter and you'll be woopin some a$$!!!!!!

Jose, I'll dyno again on August 3rd to find out some real numbers. It wasn't dyno tuned in Houston, we just ran from a stop and a few rolls and tuned the car that way. I'm really interested in seeing what it is going to put down as well. I'm hoping to see around 390+ rwhp.

Ben, Ryan can hook you up with install on the 'verter. (AHART383Z28) shoot him an email once you get it. he works at Gunn, does all my stuff real good. except he forgot to put an o2 sensor back onto the y pipe when he did my headers, LOL.
damn that was a nasty leak.

Scott when are you getting the trans am? It will be nice to see you drive up in that bad boy. I'm thinking about going that route with Ryan, but I've been getting some pretty good deals in Houston.
