Sold on Hoosier QT Pros!!!
Well, I took off the 28 x 12.50 ET Streets and put on Hoosier's version and the difference was night and day for my car. Before the switch a typical motor run would produce the following:
60ft: 1.643
1/8 ET: 6.97
1/8th MPH: 102
1/4 ET: 10.79
1/4 MPH: 131.67
After I used the Hoosiers I got the following:
60ft: 1.536
1/8 ET 6.789
1/8 MPH: 107.37
1/4 ET: 10.606
1/4 MPH: 130.79
Needless to say, I am happy! The 68 is a 433cid big block with a turbo 400/gear vendor tranny and weighs 3710 (with me in it, 224lbs). I do take the AC belt off before the runs as I shift at 7000 and go through the traps at 7200. I drive the car 27 miles one way to the track and back home again. I used 10.5lbs of pressure in the Streets and the Hoosiers and both had tubes.
This week, nitrous!!
