WTB: gen 1 350

I just picked up a '90 Suburban for $100, but it needs a motor. I'm trying to get it on the road as cheaply as possible so if anyone has a 350 that runs, shortblock or longblock, I'm interested.

Just reply to this thread or PM me if you got one that you need to get rid of.

I have a 2pc rear main seal block/crank/rods/pistons. You could probably throw some bearings/rings in it and clean it up to run it cheap. Its already disassembled too! I'd take $50 for it. PM me if you're interested in coming to take a look at it.

Is the dipstick on the driver or passenger side?

I'll double check, but I *think* its drivers side.

I checked it tonight, and it is the driver side.

Why thank you... I found an 88 305 in Austin for $125 that still runs. I'd hate to have only a 305 in that 5000lb truck, but at least it will get it on the road until I find a 350.

Wow, I'd think you'd be able to find something decent here in SA. Have you checked the classifieds in the express news?

Also, it would suck to pay that much $ for a 305, only to turn around and have a paperweight later on. Selling a 305 is next to impossible...

Eh, I'll probably keep the 305 and stuff it into my firebird once I find a 350 for the suburban. That is, if I ever get the title to the 'bird.
