1995 camaro Z28 tire help................
My dad says I need to get new tires, because he thinks they are getting old due to these lines on the tires, near the rims. Currently I have 2 goodyear eagle 225/R16 95H on the front. And 2 Kumho 245/50R16 97 H on the rear. When I bought the car it came with these tires on it. What tires should I purchaser and should the front and the rear be the same size?

If you have stock wheels, they are 16 x 8". The factory fitted them with a base tire of 235/55-16, which is a 26.1" tire. If the car was ordered with the Z-rated tire option (RPO "QLC") it got 245/50-16 tires (25.7" diameter). If your front and rear wheels are stock, making them the same size, you should run the same tires front and rear.
You don't mention the aspect ratio of the front tires (225/??-16), but if they are anything other than 225/55-16, they are the wrong diameter, and don't match the rear tire diameter.
You can check the door sticker to see what size came on the car from the factory. I'd get a set of four 245/50-16's, or 255/50-16.
Using any tire diameter in the rear other than what came on the car from the factory will throw the speedometer/odometer off slightly. That can be corrected by programming the PCM (computer).

IMO, get either the 245 or 255/50/16s, front and rear so you can rotate them for maximum tire wear.
The 245 will on average be less expensive then the 255s, but the 255 will fill the wheel wells better.

I had BFG Sport T/A 255/50-16's on my 94 Z28 for the longest time, those were some of the best tires I ever owned, I got about 3 years of heavy use out of them, i still can't believe how long they lasted me.
But I couldn't be happier with my Nitto NT555's they make the BFG's feel like training wheels
