Lightbulb 1998 Z28 - Are 20" Rims a good idea

All,
Someone wants to offer me a smoking deal on 20" rims and tires for my 1998 Camaro Z28. My question is, would it be a good idea to swap out my 16" stock rims for 20"s with very low-profile tires? There is not much rubber because of the low profile. Any comments from people that have done it (e.g. rougher ride, tires wear out faster, bent rims)?

Thank You!

no dude. 20's are such an over kill, no matter how good of a deal is. i think 18's or 19's are the biggest anyone should go.

NO, harder on brakes and suspension, will prolly ride like a hay wagon, and it will slow it down

Get them if you want! It what you want, and anything is better then stock.

I've seen very few camaros pull off 20s and look good. Like 2 or 3 in my entire life. However, those 2 or 3 were so bad ***! I wish I still had pics of them.

It really depends on the style. Do you have pics of them?

^^ maybe like OEM vette 20's would look good, but overly done "bling bling rims" would be attrocious.

More weight, more rolling resistance, more expensive replacement tires, more unsprung weight- sounds like a plan! Show or go? Your call, your wallet-

I think 20's are ok with some really low profile tires. but if your gonna be doing any tracking than just stick with 19's max. but if your a cruiser and don't mind the taller wheels and tires and the harshness that comes with having lower pro's than go for it...looks are just as important as performance my .02
