265-35-18 tires?

(265-35-18)will these fit on my 96 Z28 without me having to grind anything?Or are they way to wide...? thanks

You aren't getting answers because you posted on the wrong forum.... I'll move it to "Wheels and Tires" for you.

A 265/35-18 is about 1/2" smaller than stock tire diameter, so its not a good choice. That opens up the gap between the tire and the fender slightly, provides a narrower sidewall for less rim protection from potholes and a harsher ride, and screws up your speedo unless you correct in the PCM.

You should be looking at a 275/35 or a 285/35 if your wheels are 9.0-9.5" wide. Whether they will rub depends on the width and offset of ther wheels they are on. If you locate the wheels correctly in the wheel wells, 285's should not be a problem.... the WS6 and SS models came with 275's from the factory and they don't rub. Many of us are running 315's in the back with minor hammering.
