The reason you always see 275s is because nobody makes a 295/35/17 street tire

Also if they did I don't think you would want to run a tire 1/2" shorter than a factory height tire, IMO!

275/40/17 = 25.66"

- 295/35/17 = 25.13"

I checked both Tire Rack and Discount Tire Direct. The only 295/35-17 tire I could find is a Hoosier A6/R6 road racing tire. Is that what you are planning on running? If so, its definitely not a tire you would want to run on the street, in the wet. The small diameter will only make the already too large gap between the front fender and the tire look even larger.

If you are so intent on huge front tires, go for 17x11's with 315/35's on them. There was a thread recently showing several examples.

Now.... all of this ASSumes you are asking about tires for a 4th Gen. But you never bothered to tell us what generation Z28 you are asking about.

No one on streetfire told you a 295 would go on your car. For that matter, no one on streetfire said anything at all about the 295, except me. The only thing I said is no one makes it.

BTW Injuneer, his is an 01 Z28.

I only said they don't exist in a street tire.

Your question was vague, so I inferred.

Why not also go with 315s in the front, as already stated.

everyone makes a 285/40/17. Just a little bigger.

295/35/17 is racing rim size. your not going to find any street tire is that size. Either run a 285 or move up to 18's which have 295/35 tire.
