295/35/18 on a 9.5" wheel?
Is this a good idea? I know it is cutting it close, I think the manufacturers recommend 10" for them right? I kind of like my 275/40/18s but I might need a little more tire soon when I upgrade my heads and cam. I'm not an idiot, I don't want to run 315s on an 8.5" or 9" wheel, if it is unsafe then I won't do it.

I too am interested...I have a 18x9.5 and a 18x10.5 for my rear wheels. They dont have tires mounted on them yet but I am going to sell the 18x9.5 seperately due to probable fitment issues. Besides I rather have the 18x10.5s in the back (may bang the wheel well in)

I have 295/35/18 on my C5 vette wheels. They fit just fine. I haven't had a problem since I put them on 2 years ago. Also, took my car to the road course with these tires, and again no problems.
