backspacing

not sure where this was supposed to go, but would anyone know what the backspacing on 97 camaro be for the wheels? i bought the car, and the wheels that are on it i'm guessing are the wrong back spacing. with a 275 out back, the wheels rub on the outer edge of the tire everytime i hit a bump. and the guy i bought it from doesn't know either. any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks
mike
