Corvette rims on a 97 camaro

Re: Corvette rims on a 97 camaro
it really depends on the look you want. If you get corvette replicas from a website that are the same size all the way around 17" or 18" will work fine. If you get anything larger than 8.5 in the rear though you will need spacers.
I have staggered C6 wheels (18" in the front and 19" in the rear) that im putting on my 95 z28 in the spring when I get the new tires. I needed a 1.25" spacer for the rear. If you are looking for 17" all the way around, I have a set of replica C5 wheels for sale.

There are 17x9.5" and 18x9.5" Corvette aftermarket/replicas that have the correct offset (45-56mm) and do not need spacers. I run the 17x9.5 and 17x11 ZR1/Grand Sport offset wheels, with no spacers. Many others run this same combo. There is a good "sticky" with info about the OEM C6 wheels, and what it takes to fit them on a 4th Gen.
Which style Corvette wheels are you interested in? The OEM C4 "wagon wheels" will fit, and various C5, C6 and C5/Z06 and C6/Z06 wheels will fit - some with no modifications, others with spacers. As noted, there are replicas available in most styles.

I just did this today on my '97. I found a guy on craigslist with some mint condition '99
C5 vette wheels that I got for $100 with lug nuts, locks & center caps. The wheels are 17x8.5 in the front and 18x9.5 in the rear. The tire size is 245/45/ZR17 in the front and 274/40/ZR18 in the rear. After reading for a few days about the reviews of tires, I went with the Nitto 555's. People love them, they last a long time, and drive excellent. I only have about 10 miles on mine and i'm in love already. The only thing I had to do to make them fit in the rear wheel weels, was take a small sledge hammer and knock in a little portion of the front lower of the wheel wells. This is very minor and they were not rubbing, but I wanted to make sure they wouldn't. This only took a second, and now I have about 1/2" of clearance between the inside of the tire and the wheel well. I can take some pictures of my car and email them to you if you want to see what your car would look like with the C5's on there. You will love it, trust me. Pm me for pics.
