Tires

My 2000 Z28 came stock with 235/55/16's. I still have stock rims. Will the 245/50/16's be OK. The door sticker says 235/55/16.

Whats the difference ? What will I feel / how will the car sit..higher..lower.

The 245's are more abundant...better/more choices than the 235's.

HELP !

Re: Tires

You won't have a problem with the 245s. The 245s will actually be just about a 1/2" shorter but that's pretty marginable. The speedometer as a result will be reading about 2% faster than you're actually going which again, isn't terribly bad. You probably won't notice the car sitting a 1/4" lower than it is now, and probably won't notice a difference in ride either.

Re: Tires

We have a "Wheels and Tires" forum. I'll move the post there.

Re: Tires

In your other thread, you said you were looking at General Altimax. With a cheap tire like that, you'll notice basically no difference.

The advantage of going to 245s is that it opens up options for higher-end tires. If you do that, then you might notice a difference.
