Exclamation Wheel & Tire combo help!

I have 1986 camaro Z28 that I would like to fit aftermarkets on. There's a wheel & tire set I'm looking at that is 17x9.5 would that fit under the car, or would it rub? I'm a newbie so all help is greatly appreciated.
-Thanks

Re: Wheel & Tire combo help!

depends on the offset. but 9.5s should definitely fit in the back, and i think they would be fine in the front as well. assuming they have the correct offset, of course

Re: Wheel & Tire combo help!

We have a "Wheels and Tires" forum. I'll move your post there.

I think the 3rd Gens take a 0 offset wheel in the front, and the stock 8" wheels had an 18mm offset in the back. As noted in the post above, whether the wheel/tire sticks outside the fender, or is too deep to clear the inner suspension is determined by the offset. Too much offset and you require spacers, too little offset and the wheel/tire is outside the fender and there is nothing you can do.
